The intensive workshop for active founders
The Entrepreneurship School (ESS) is an annual, three-day intensive workshop for entrepreneurs at the PFH Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen. Lectures, work phases, training sessions and feedback rounds with experts from the ZE and the business world are used to further optimize the business models of the founding teams and impart valuable skills. The 14th ESS took place in 2024 from October 10 to 12 with eight teams that impressed with strong projects, often digital and partly using AI. To the press release.
The three-day event will conclude with the teams’ final pitches and the presentation of the “GO-E Award” to the best start-up ideas. The winners of the ESS 2024 are the DOCMAiTE, MovuSense and Vinzubi projects.
GO-E-Award 2024 – the award winners
Application to simplify the evaluation of medical documents
The DOCMAiTE project by Dr. Christoph Prinz, Nina Haller, Sebastian Kampen and Antonia Heußner was named this year’s best start-up idea for its approach to the automated processing of medical documents. With their AI-supported application, the four-person founding team aims to relieve the burden on medical staff in their day-to-day work and speed up the flow of information in the healthcare sector. The jury led by Prof. Dr. Bernhard H. Vollmar, Managing Director of the ZE Center for Entrepreneurship, presented them with the “GO-E-Award 2024”, which includes a consulting and coaching package worth €3,000.
AI-supported workplace health promotion and all-in-one program to combat the shortage of skilled workers
Second place went to Tobias Sander-Beuermann from Maaf X GmbH with the MovuSense project, a digital application program to support healthy posture in the workplace. The aim is to improve the health of people who sit a lot by using an AI-supported application that regularly encourages people sitting in front of a computer to adopt a better posture and provides specific tips and exercises using individualized animations. Vinzubi UG by founder Duc Tran, which facilitates the recruiting and onboarding of Vietnamese skilled workers and trainees through a comprehensive placement and support program, came in third place. The jury particularly praised the advanced degree of implementation of the start-up project, which was launched in August 2023.
Valuable exchange with experts
This year’s guests with start-up experience and impulse providers included Hanna Malin Sasse, Investment Analyst at High-Tech Gründerfonds, Jan Berodt, Director of the auditing and tax consulting firm EY, Ralf Borchers, Managing Director of NBank Capital Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, as well as numerous other feedback providers from the region, such as Anna-Lena Keilholz (HKS).
